If necessary I suggest using a brand new moisturiser so that it doesn't dry out.

Do not over-do everything (softer skin, etc) with the moisturiser when using the cream or powder. Always try to incorporate more into your moisturiser, and have a good moisturiser so that you don't run dry.

To give you a short-term solution I've tried 2 options:

1) Wearing the whole look of your face with a lot of moisturiser (I've used the Tarte cream) and having half of it dry for a couple of days just to get rid of any dry spots. I'm getting a long line of Tarte molds for the purpose of this article.

This also works best with my dry hair which is so sensitive I'd like to put a layer of product over anything else I can smell.

2) This formula is really effective for getting rid of the natural smell of your pores and fine lines. If dry hair is a problem, try to use the regular moisturiser that contains less, but still contains the smell of your scalp.

My main recommendation for this advice is that if you have oily hair, but you're not completely sure how much to do, get the regular moisturiser. Just go with it and do it properly.
