1. Wash and rinse acrylic nails with a hot water solution. (I also tried that in an effort to get rid of any loose paint on the nails - you can just have a fresh clean nail every now and then.)

2. Apply a light layer of clear acrylic (soapy water) to your nail without any other coloration.

3. Gently apply 1/4 inch of hard or soft wash to each nail. It's just as effective – just as if I didn't have any acrylic here.

What do we use to apply these?

The method I use is to dab a little light on the top and bottom edges of every nail. Since I have so many new nail products to choose from, this is a very short time for me. Most of them are cheap, and I want to create a set so I do not have to buy extra polish to the whole set.


First my brush is an old one and is made up of two sticks of acrylic. I also use it on old nail polish because it is one inch or so thick and feels very sturdy in the hand, so it doesn't mess with the delicate plastic handles I apply in a particular order or size I am using for applying acrylic nails.

Some of these are expensive nail products, and some are made for other reasons. I like to create my set with the "easy" method because
