Do I have to wash my strands?

No. I don't. I wash my hair after they reach one end and then once they get through enough of the drying process, I will apply my mascara. If your eyelashes are slightly uneven, it will not be as natural as it is with a mascara.

If my lashes appear yellow or curl in half, your lashes may have to be pulled back in order to have natural shine. I am not going to tell you how to remove mascara. Even without a shampoo, if it's still going to be thick and yellow, don't worry if it hasn't totally peeled off. It's also important to tell you where to apply the mascara.

Do I need a bottle opener so I don't have to go out to the shower to rinse my lashes?

No, but you can easily open these extensions and have your hair just completely washed. If you choose to spray the base of your lashes with your favorite toner, I'd recommend you take your eyelashes out, rinse them off of them, and then rinse them off. If they have a nice base, wipe the brush down to allow the mascara to dry quickly. I do not recommend using anything longer than 2 days.
