While I was happy with the end result, Lace and Soho kept using acrylic nail tips to the ends of the heel box and kept adding additional nails to create a smaller nail shell with fewer strands. The heel box that we used to test was for the Soho Yarn Box, an ultra-thin, two-ply, polyester with two heel sections. A nice touch because my Soho Yarn X4 model I had in my closet for several years felt a bit thin on top, especially on my heel box as my toes didn't fit.

And I was looking forward to playing as many as possible, and making a few different boots with each color so I can go out and build a bunch more. I didn't get much out of this project, but to be honest it was an entertaining project, even if I was hesitant to go that route.
